Week 13

I talked to Mick and Pip last week and they really helped me with the collaboration. They helped me realize that I should be one of the partners, and guide the user through the process. This way I can just make the Figma and ditch the Meiker. I thought I had to do more work to make this project something impressive but I also realized that sometimes I have to scale back or else people are gonna get confused. There is no need to make more work for myself if It's not gonna elevate the final product.

When it came to the trailer video, Mick pointed out the work of John Szot, and that really helped me open my eyes to how these mockup videos look. Mick overall was really instrumental in shaping the visual identity of this project. A few weeks ago he showed me axonometric sketches, with the logic that when people see these, they assume it's a mockup. He helped me realize that the design of the video itself would influence whether or not my audience properly understands my project so every creative decision needed to have some kind of reasoning behind it.
